Why Did Drake Cancel His Remaining Australia and New Zealand Tour Dates?

Drake postpones the final four dates of his Australia & New Zealand tour due to scheduling conflicts. New dates coming soon; tickets remain valid.

Drake has announced the postponement of the last four dates of his sold-out “Anita Max Win Tour” in Australia and New Zealand due to “scheduling conflicts.” The announcement was made by the rapper on February 26 shortly after wrapping his two shows in Brisbane.

Drake’s 16-date tour kicked off on February 4 in Perth with two shows followed by four performances each in Melbourne and Sydney. He had completed two performances in Brisbane and was slated to be back for more in Sydney and Brisbane next week along with two postponed Auckland dates in mid March. But that’s not happening anymore.

A statement from Drake’s representatives assured that they will be “working to reschedule these dates adding some more shows.” The tickets for the affected concerts are still valid and refunds are available.

Drake’s tour was notable for his acts of kindness-cash gifts to fans that included $20,000 in Perth, $45,000 in Melbourne and $30,000 to a pregnant fan in Sydney. The fans look forward to the new dates when Drake will return Down Under soon.
