The latest Star Plus drama, Pocket Mein Aasmaan was launched on January 30th 2025. This unique series questions societal stereotypes and assumptions especially in respect of a pregnant woman balancing her personal and professional life.
Based on the Bengali serial ‘Tomader Rani’ the drama highlights the journey of a mother trying to pursue her medical career against societal pressure and husband. Storyline of Pocket Mein Aasmaan:
The story revolves around Rani, a free spirited young girl with aspirations of becoming a doctor. Everything changes when she marries Digvijay, becomes pregnant and struggles to find a balance between education, pregnancy and family life while dealing with societal pressures and validity. Rani never backs down, even when her husband doubts her ability to manage it all. She perseveres to prove any obstacles will not stop women from achieving their aspirations. This show details determination, resilience and social stereotypes in a fun and engaging way.
