‘Kesari Chapter 2’ ha shit the screen today, 18 April 2024 with great reviews has been trending in India for multiple reasons like the historical representation of an unknown legal battle during the colonial period and the recent sparking comments from General Dyer’s Grand Daughter on the ruthless Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.
While the movie is certainly layered with inspiring yet overlooked parts of history, many questioned the sequel title and discussed the streak of actor Akshay Kumar. The versatile actor known for mostly his racy and massive commercial hits with an ardent fan following simply couldn’t churn out hits in the recent times. ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ Plot and History
Based on the book titled ‘The Cast That Shook The Empire’ by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat, where the authors sheds light on one of the most crucial piece of legal justice regarding the merciless Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and the following legal battle by one man – Sir Chettur Sankaran Nair. An eminent lawyer who launched a case against the British Colonial Government and the actions of General Reginald Dyer who ordered the killing of hundreds and thousands of Indians.
Akshay Kumar has certainly pushed back at the criticism and has received great appreciation for his performance as C. Sankaran Nair in ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, which is a spiritual sequel of ‘Kesari’. The movie has already bagged 3 Crores in Advance Booking while positive reviews will certainly attract more audience. Some of the early reviews stated Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan’s performance ‘hauntingly powerful’ , ‘cinematic explosion of patriotism’, ‘Akshay Kumar’s Exuberance Shines Bright As The Courageous C Sankaran Nair’.
