The diplomatic two day visit of the Crown Prince of Dubai and the Defense Minister, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum marked by shared visions, strategic initiatives and dynamic warmth has been successfully concluded. Also this visit highlighted the renewed vigor in the relationship of India & UAE through high-level meetings with Indian officials, exploring avenues for economic, cultural and technological collaboration. This is marked as his first ever visit to India which is composed of combined ambition and mutual respect.
- H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai arrived India on 8 April 2025, New Delhi.
- He was warmly welcomed by the Union Minister of State for Tourism and Petroleum, Suresh Gopi.
- He was accorded with a ceremonial Guard of Honour.
- He met PM Narendra Modi, other high-profile officials, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and MEA Jaishankar.
- Attended the working lunch hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Lok Kalyan Marg.
- The Crown Prince of Dubai presented a replica of his grandfather H.H.Sheikh Rashid’s Bisht which symbolises the historical & generational political ties of these two countries.
- Both the leaders carried out the discussions over the avenues which enhanced the strategic partnership of India and UAE.
- During his meeting with External Minister Jaishankar, he presented an original newspaper coverage that underscores the efforts of his father. [In saving passengers on board Indian Airlines Flight 421 in August 1984]
- Attended a high-level meeting in Mumbai with the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal.
- Discussions took place regarding the CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement), VTC (Virtual Trade Corridor) and the MoUs signed during the business events for the betterment of bilateral economic engagement.

1.Setting up of the campus of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in Dubai and commencement of the first MBA program in September 2025.
2.Setting up of the first overseas campus of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade at the India Pavilion in Expo City Dubai.
3.Commencement of construction work of Bharat Mart and the launch of a 3-D rendering of the Bharat Mart complex.
4.Grant of land for UAE-India Friendship Hospital in Dubai
5.Development of ship-repair clusters at Kochi and Vadinar
6.Opening of an India Office of Dubai Chamber of Commerce
- It also includes the establishment of the first ever IIM-Ahmedabad & IIFT in Dubai.
- Some of the crucial announcements such as VTC, MAITRI interface which supports VTC play a significant role in the agreement of CEPA.
- And India’s commitment to IMEEC and the bilateral trade is expected to cross $97 billion.
- The non-oil trade is targeted at $100 billion.
- The Dubai government agreed to allocate the land for “India-UAE Friendship Hospital” with over 100 beds.
- It will be contributed to the Indian diaspora who belong to the blue-collar category.
- An MoU has been signed between CSL (Cochin Shipyard Ltd) and DDW (Drydocks World).
