The 2025 IPL (Indian Premier League) season is piling up with records and raw emotions that sprouts both on and off the ground during every match. Some records raise our eyebrows but few shocks both the fans and the players too. Social media is buzzing with the heated debates over the ‘Retired Out’ decision of Mumbai Indian Batsman Tilak Varma. And the head coach of MI defends this decision as a ‘Tactical Move’ made when their team were in need of 24 runs in 7 balls (with 5 wickets in hand). Unfortunately, this decision backfired the team and ended with the victory of LSG against MI.

With this decision Tilak Varma becomes the fourth player to back to the pavilion as a retired out batsman in the history of IPL.
