After 128 years in the history of Olympics, “Cricket” is making its grand return at the LA 2028 Olympics. For which a temporary stadium will be constructed at the Fairgrounds for the events based on the inspiration garnered from 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The tournament is for both the men and women’s team and this inclusion is considered to be a landmark moment with the aim of making this sports global reach.
“We welcome the announcement of the venue for cricket at Los Angeles 2028 as it is a significant step towards the preparation for our sport’s return to the Olympics,” – ICC Chair Jay Shah.

Olympics LA 2028
- Venue (for cricket) – Fairgrounds in Pomona, approximately 35 miles, east of Los Angeles.
- Date of Olympics Game – 14 to 30 July 2028.
- Organised by – LAOCOG (Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games).
