Apple has launched the iPhone 16e in India today with pre-order beginning tomorrow which the model is meant to be a much cheaper alternative in its lineup. The phone will be available at the rate of ₹59,900, it includes many of the features that are available on the standard iPhone 16 but notably it does not support MagSafe charging and also ditched the home button. It features only basic Qi wireless charging of up to 7.5W.
Apart from this omission, the iPhone 16e has Apple’s latest A18 chip and the C1 and also Apple only in-house 5G modem that together boost performance and connectivity. It is also enabled with Apple Intelligence letting it provide rich AI possibilities. Apple has also discontinued three iPhone models following the launch of the iPhone 16e.
The iPhone 16e aims to provide a balance between affordability and functionality making it an attractive option for users seeking advanced features with the premium price tag.
