A Surpassing Monsoon Arriving Soon: IMD Predicts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) hinted an unforeseen seasonal changes

भारत is a country which is claimed to have a largely agrarian economy but to such a plight if they encounter a surpassing  rainfall often brings significant benefits. This monsoon will hit the regions that are located in the central & northwest, and some parts of south in India. It boosts the crop production and fosters the groundwater levels, fills reservoirs and it strengthens the rural income. But there are consequences which cause excessive or uneven damages like flash floods, water logging, soil erosion and it also ruins the crop’s yield.

“The Southwest monsoon seasonal (June to September) rainfall over the country as a whole during 2025 is most likely to be above normal. Quantitatively, the seasonal rainfall over the country as a whole is likely to be 105% of LPA with a model error of ±5%” – IMD Press release.

Moreover, the monsoon togetherly with urban areas may suffer from traffic disruptions, infrastructure damage and health hazards due to poor drainage systems. But timely planning can reflect a positive outcome in an effective way while the transition changes from El Nino to La Nina in the Pacific ocean.
