US President Donald Trump raises the Tariff charged to China by the US to 125% with immediate effect, also authorises a 90-day PAUSE and a substantially lowered Reciprocal Tariff during this period of 10% on over 75 countries with immediate effect.

This came after China pushed back on Trump’s earlier tariff policies by increasing its levies on US imports by more than 80%. Tariffs on US goods entering China has increased to 84% from 34%, according to an official announcement.

Donald Trump has also announced a 90-day pause on fresh tariffs, except for China. This decision led to the S&P 500 having its best day since 2008.
