रेजरपे के संस्थापक 34 साल की उम्र में भारत के सबसे युवा अरबपति बन गए

Kumar, founder of Razorpay worked at Microsoft before he started the company and another founder Mathur was a field engineer at Schlumberger at the time.

Shashank Kumar और Harshil Mathur are listed as  two of the youngest billionaires in India at the age of 34, according to the Hurun Global Rich List 2025. They co-founded Razorpay in 2014 when they were just 24 years old with the intent to solve complex online payments for Indian businesses. Once again, in recognition of their vision and innovation, Razorpay became a unicorn in 2020 and was valued at $7.5 billion by the following year.

Razorpay, supported by investors such as Sequoia Capital, Y Combinator and GIC transformed the future of digital transactions through its ‘easy to use’ payment solutions. Kumar worked at Microsoft before he started the company and Mathur was a field engineer at Schlumberger at the time. This journey from classmates at IIT Roorkee to billionaires is a sign of the improvement of the fintech scene in India.

India currently has at least seven billionaires below the age of 40 mainly from Bengaluru and Mumbai indicating the dynamic startup culture in the country. Globally, the youngest billionaire is 20 year old Livia Voigt of Brazil.
