FIFA announces a whopping $1 billion prize money for the first 32-team Club World Cup in the US, which will enhance football solidarity worldwide

फीफा has unveiled a record $1 billion prize money for the first 32-team Club World Cup, which will be hosted in the United States. The move is an indication of FIFA’s determination to turn the tournament into a milestone in world football. The 2025 tournament will host leading clubs from across the globe such as European giants like Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino stressed that the prize money would not only demonstrate the height of club football but also foster solidarity, as the revenue will be distributed among the teams taking part. “FIFA will not retain a single dollar” Infantino said, adding that the money would go to clubs, with special attention towards global solidarity. The prize money is enormous compared to recent World Cups: $440 million for the 2022 men’s tournament and $110 million for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
