कौन हैं अरविंद चिदंबरम? प्राग मास्टर्स 2025 में प्रज्ञानंद को हराने वाले भारतीय ग्रैंडमास्टर 

Grandmaster Aravindh Chithambaram announced himself as the latest Indian chess superstar in the making on Friday after winning the Masters Section of the Prague International Chess Festival.

Aravindh Chithambaram is proving to be a master in chess after a victorious Masters section of the Prague International Chess Festival 2025 which featured world-class players like world No. 8 R Praggnanandhaa, Dutch star Anish Giri, and Chinese GM Wei Yi. Aravindh, finishing unbeaten and even won against Praggnanandhaa thereby certifying that he stands tall among the best of talents of chess in India as Indian grandmaster. 

Born on September 11th 1999 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Aravindh’s interest in chess started at the age of 7th with encouragement from his grandfather. Life was not very kind in the initial days as Aravindh had to deal with the loss of his father at the age of 3. By 12, he had already won the Indian U-19 Chess Championship and he became a Grandmaster in 2015. His fine career is highlighted by the win in the Chennai Grand Masters in 2024 in which he defeated most of the strong players and became the first Indian to win national titles in Classical, Rapid and Blitz forms.

After the Prague Masters, now being one of the best FIDE winners, he boasts a live FIDE rating of 2743, ranking him 14th in the world. With the constant performances against the elite players, now, he is a name to be noticed in Indian chess.
