The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has introduced its Parenting Calendar for the academic year 2025-2026. This is part of its initiative to encourage partnership between parents and schools. It is stated that National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recognizes that the student’s development must be holistic and not merely academics.
The Parenting Calendar follows a 4R framework which are Relationship Building, Rejoicing, Reflection and Reinforcement. It offers activities related to the grade level of each child that can help to create valuable interactions between the child and the parent leading to cognitive, emotional and social development.
