FIFA Confirms $1B Prize Pool for Club World Cup 2025 and Winners to Earn $125M

FIFA announces $1B prize money for Club World Cup 2025 with winners potentially collecting up to $125M. A $250M solidarity fund will promote football globally.

FIFA has formally announced that the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will offer an unprecedented $1 billion prize pool when it hosts the tournament in the United States between June 14 and July 13. There will be 32 teams participating in the competition with champions potentially taking home as much as $125 million.

The prizes are to be split into two main pillars including a $525 million participation fund and a $475 million performance based fund. Every club that takes part will be given money according to their region, with the European clubs to be paid between $12.81 million and $38.19 million and South American clubs getting $15.21 million. North and Central American, Asian and African clubs will each get $9.55 million, while Oceania’s representative, Auckland City will get $3.58 million.

Performance-based revenues grow as teams advance, with victories in the group stage earning $2 million each and $1 million each for draws. Knockout rounds have increasing rewards with the winner earning a total of $40 million on top of their earned revenues.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino described the distribution model as historic, noting the tournament’s massive financial boost to world football. FIFA will also introduce a revolutionary $250 million solidarity program to develop club football globally.

With this record breaking prize pool, FIFA wants to raise the profile and sustainability of the Club World Cup and reaffirm its commitment to world football development.
